YS LeadGen – Popup Builder & Lead Generation for WordPress

Description

Most visitors leave a website without buying anything, subscribing, or getting in touch. YS LeadGen is a popup builder and form builder built to turn more of those visitors into subscribers and customers, using a drag and drop editor inside your own WordPress dashboard. No coder or designer required, and nothing to set up outside WordPress itself.

Use it to run an exit intent popup that catches someone before they leave, a WooCommerce upsell or cross-sell campaign, a coupon wheel that grows your email list, a lightbox popup for a newsletter signup, or a plain contact form. Every campaign is built in the same visual canvas, published in a few minutes, and fully responsive, so mobile popups look right without any extra work.

Why people install it

A website usually runs into the same handful of problems. Visitors leave without subscribing, buying, or saying anything. A cart gets abandoned at checkout. An email list grows slowly, if at all. YS LeadGen is built around fixing those specific moments rather than offering a long settings panel with no direction.

An exit-intent popup, built on technology that reads a visitor’s mouse movement toward the edge of the browser, can turn an abandoning visitor into a subscriber or a customer before they go.

A cart abandonment popup or recovery email can do the same thing partway through checkout.

A spin-to-win wheel or a coupon offer can grow your email list faster than a plain signup form on its own. And once a few campaigns are live, built-in popup analytics and A/B testing let you see what’s actually converting instead of guessing.

How it works

  1. Pick a popup template from the library, or start from scratch on the canvas.
  2. Customize the text, colors, images, and buttons in the drag and drop editor.
  3. Choose a trigger, such as exit intent, a time delay, or a scroll point.
  4. Choose which pages the campaign should run on, and who should see it.
  5. Publish. The campaign goes live right away.

The plugin only loads its code on pages where a campaign is active, so publishing one doesn’t slow down the rest of your site.

Editor and templates

  • Drag and drop popup builder – create a unique popup or form on an open canvas, with a live preview as you work and nothing to code.
  • Popup templates – a library of ready-made designs for common campaign goals, each one easy to customize with your own text, colors, fonts, and images.
  • Shared editor for popups and forms – forms are built in the same canvas as popups, so there’s one tool to learn instead of two.

Popup and form types

  • Lightbox popups – a centered popup over a darkened page, for email opt-in forms and offers that need full attention.
  • Exit intent popups – shown right as a visitor is about to leave. On desktop it reads the mouse moving toward the top of the browser; on mobile, where there’s no mouse, it reads a fast scroll-up gesture or a tap on the back button instead.
  • Floating bars – a sticky bar across the top or bottom of the page for a sale, a shipping notice, or a site-wide announcement.
  • Slide-in popups – a box that slides in from a corner of the screen without covering the page, useful for a related offer or a coupon code.
  • Fullscreen popups – a full-page welcome mat that puts your best offer in front of a visitor the moment they arrive.
  • Inline and embedded forms – signup forms placed directly inside your page or post content, rather than in a popup.
  • Spin-to-win wheel – a gamified coupon popup where a visitor enters an email address to spin for a discount.
  • Yes/No popups – a two-step, progressive opt-in that asks a simple question first, which tends to improve list segmentation and conversions compared to a single-step form.
  • Multi-step and conversational forms – a longer form broken into short steps, or a chat-style format that asks one question at a time.
  • Quiz popups – a short set of questions that ends in a personalized result, useful for product recommendations.
  • Countdown timers – add urgency to a sale or a limited-time offer, with a start and end time you control.
  • Content locker popups – gate part of a page or a download behind an action, usually an email signup.
  • Social proof popups – show a small notice about recent activity on your site.
  • Video popups – open a YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted video in a lightbox.
  • Floating badge buttons – a small button in the corner of the screen that opens a popup on click.
  • Age gate and cookie consent popups – handle age or cookie checks some sites are required to run.
  • Cart abandonment popups – trigger when a product is added to the cart or at checkout. See WooCommerce below.

Advanced popup triggers and targeting

Show a popup to the right visitor at the right moment with exit intent, a time delay, a scroll depth percentage, or a click on a chosen element, and schedule a campaign to start and stop automatically.

Target by page, post, category, device, location, traffic source, URL, browser, or operating system, and use cookie-based rules to show a different popup message to new visitors versus returning ones, or to stop showing an offer to someone who already converted. Rules can be combined so a campaign only appears for the exact audience you want.

WooCommerce

Set up a cart abandonment popup that triggers when a product is added to the cart or when a shopper reaches checkout, generate a discount coupon automatically on signup, and run a WooCommerce upsell or cross-sell campaign by showing related or best-selling products inside a popup.

Form builder

Build a contact form, a lead form, a survey, an NPS form, or a privacy policy acceptance form in the same editor used for popups, and show it inside a popup, inline in a page, or embedded in your content.

Accept payments inside a form with Stripe, PayPal, or Square, with test mode to try a payment form before it goes live. SMTP support helps form notification emails reach the inbox reliably, and every lead from every form and popup lands in one list that can be exported as a CSV file.

If you already use Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, or Fluent Forms, you can add popup triggers and tracking to those forms instead.

Analytics and testing

Popup analytics show views against conversions for every campaign, with a combined lead total across all of them, plus WooCommerce revenue analytics that connect campaign activity to order value.

Run A/B testing to compare two versions of a campaign and see which one actually converts better, and use AI Insights to get a quick read on which campaigns are performing and which are worth adjusting.

Integrations

Connect popup leads directly to Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, GetResponse, Drip, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Omnisend, or HubSpot, send campaign events to Google Analytics 4, and use Google reCAPTCHA to cut down spam submissions on forms.

Webhooks let you send lead data to Zapier, Make, or any other service with a URL, and the plugin works alongside Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, Bricks, Beaver Builder, and Oxygen without style conflicts. Each connection is set up from the Integrations menu, and nothing syncs until you turn it on.

Privacy tools

A cookie consent banner can block tracking scripts until a visitor agrees to them, and an age verification gate can sit in front of restricted content or products.

Free and PRO

YS LeadGen is free to install and use, with a limit of 3 active popups, 3 forms, and 1,000 total views across your campaigns. A one-time PRO upgrade, not a subscription, removes those limits and unlocks the rest of what’s described above, including advanced targeting, AI Insights, revenue analytics, and the additional email integrations. Full PRO details are on the pricing page.

Your data

Leads and form submissions are saved in your own WordPress database. Nothing is sent to an outside company unless you connect a service yourself, such as an email marketing tool, and you can export your list to CSV at any time.

Try it first

The live demo lets you build a campaign in the browser without installing anything, and the documentation has setup guides for each feature.

External Services

YS LeadGen does not contact any outside service until you turn on a feature that needs one.

Email marketing services – used only if you connect one in Integrations. When a visitor submits a campaign linked to a connected service, their submitted details (such as name and email address) are sent to that service: Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, GetResponse, Drip, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Omnisend, and HubSpot. Each service’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

Stripe, PayPal, and Square – used only if you add a payment field to a form. The payment amount and the details needed to process it are sent to the provider when a visitor submits the form. Stripe | PayPal | Square

Webhooks (Zapier, Make, or another URL) – used only if you add a webhook to a campaign. Lead data is sent to the URL you provide each time the campaign captures a lead. Zapier | Make

Google Analytics 4 – used only if you enable GA4 tracking. Campaign events, such as views and conversions, are sent to your Google Analytics property. Privacy policy

Google reCAPTCHA – used only on forms where you turn reCAPTCHA on. When such a form loads or is submitted, the visitor’s IP address and browser interaction data are sent to Google. Terms | Privacy policy

YouTube and Vimeo – used only if you add a video popup embedding a video from one of these services. The visitor’s browser loads the player directly from the provider, which may receive the visitor’s IP address. YouTube | Vimeo

Privacy

YS LeadGen runs on your own WordPress site and doesn’t collect personal information on its own, only through the forms and popups you build. If you connect a third-party service, such as an email marketing tool, the information a visitor submits is sent to that service once the connection is turned on. You stay responsible for your site’s privacy policy and for meeting the privacy laws that apply to you.

FAQ

Is YS LeadGen free?

Yes, with a limit of 3 active popups, 3 forms, and 1,000 total views. A one-time PRO upgrade removes those limits and adds more features. See “Free and PRO” above or the pricing page.

What happens if I go over the free plan’s limits?

See the pricing page for what happens once you reach the free plan’s popup, form, or view limits, and for how to upgrade if you need more.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Campaigns and forms are both built in a drag and drop editor, starting from a template or a blank canvas.

Can I build forms with this, not just popups?

Yes. The form builder covers contact forms, lead forms, surveys, NPS forms, multi-step and conversational forms, and payment forms, and a form can appear in a popup, inline in a page, or embedded in your content.

Where is my lead data stored?

In your own WordPress database. It isn’t sent anywhere else unless you connect a service such as an email marketing tool, and you can export it to CSV whenever you want.

Will it slow my site down?

Popup and form code only loads on pages that have an active campaign, so pages without one aren’t affected.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. You can trigger cart abandonment popups, generate coupons automatically on signup, and run upsell or cross-sell campaigns with related or best-selling products.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Every popup and form is responsive, and exit intent uses a fast scroll-up or back-button tap on phones, since there’s no mouse to track.

Which page builders does it work with?

Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, Bricks, Beaver Builder, and Oxygen.

Which email marketing services can I connect?

Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, GetResponse, Drip, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Omnisend, and HubSpot.

Does YS LeadGen have AI features?

AI Insights reviews how your campaigns are performing and flags ones worth adjusting.

Is this a subscription?

No. PRO is a one-time payment, not a recurring charge.

Where can I get help?

The support forum on WordPress.org, or the documentation.
